Datalogic QuickScan 1D QM 2130

Datalogic QuickScan QM2130 is a mobile barcode reader with a radio transmission. The technology used for the transmission of scanned data to the communication base and implicitly to the computer is called STAR. It is a technology patented by Datalogic ADC that operates in the 433MHz frequency band. The main advantages in using STAR technology compared to traditional Bluetooth technology are the longer transmission distance (10-18 meters), the possibility of two-way communication (simultaneously transmits and receives information), and the exclusivity of the frequency. When we mention the exclusivity of the frequency we refer to the fact that in the 433MHz STAR band only Datalogic mobile devices work - you do not interfere with other devices equipped with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, you do not interfere with mice and wireless keyboards, automatic gates or any other device which transmits through radio waves. QM2130 is a linear barcode imager. This is due to the fact that it can easily read linear (1D) barcodes even if they are less legible, partially damaged, or dirty. The failure rate of linear imager barcode readers is very low because there are no mirrors and no moving components inside the scanner. The Batch function with which Datalogic QuickScan Mobile 2130 is equipped allows it to read barcodes even after leaving the range of the cradle (communication base). The memory allows it to store up to 4,000 barcodes and download them automatically when it re-enters the communication range. Green-Spot technology signals the successful reading of a green barcode. In this way, the reader can be used successfully in very noisy working environments where the audible warning is not heard or in working environments where silence is an essential detail.
